Check out our Shelf Life display that is currently situated in Ellon library. The books on display were purchased with funding we received from the Scottish Government and the Scottish Library and Information Council.

All titles have an environmental theme, with a focus on climate change, and there is a mix of fiction, biography and non-fiction to choose from for both adults and children. Let us know what you think about any of the titles that you choose to read.

As part of our George MacDonald programme join fantasy writer, Kate Davidson, for a creative writing workshop on the theme of fantasy where you will receive advice and guidance on how to write a short fantasy story.  Kate, a highly successful writer, has written episodes for popular dramas such as Hollyoaks and Doctors as well as for The A-List, Kindle's supernatural teen thriller which was also shown on BBC iplayer. 

This is session 2 of 2 workshops delivered over a 2 month period. 

Please note: there is a charge of £5 for each session.  If paying at the venue, cash only please.

To gain the most from the workshops it is recommended you attend both sessions as allows the participants to build on their work between the 2 session and gain feedback from Kate.
