PLEASE NOTE that one booking is only required per household (i.e. 1 Adult and children) attending this event.

We will accept walk-ins; however, we are limiting numbers that can attend due to space in which the session or event takes place.

To avoid disappointment, we would recommend booking a space for this activity where possible.

Ballater Library is delighted to offer you the unique opportunity to meet local photographer Martin Bennie. Martin will share photographs and stories of his travels from the wilds of the Scottish Highlands right on our doorstep to the further reaches of South Korea, Chile and Croatia to name a few. He will share his tips, inspirations, insights and perspectives and how to find 'The Calm Among the Chaos'

Grampian Wellbeing Festival - Child Sessions - Ballater Library Bookbug Session with Childsmile

Live Life Aberdeenshire Libraries are once again taking part in the Grampian Wellbeing Festival. Our health and wellbeing events provide an opportunity for all ages to engage with other people, develop friendships and try new activities.
Session details: Come along to our toothy-themed songs, rhymes and story attended by a member of the Childsmile team. They will be available at the end of the session to give advice and guidance on toothbrushing, dentist visits and handing out toothbrushing packs.

Come and meet author Liz Middleton who will discuss her deeply moving non-fiction book 'Three Brave Hearts: Traces of my uncles in the Great War. Liz's uncles had connections to the old Crathie Post Office, Banffshire farming community, Aberdeen University and the Gordon Highlanders. Through meticulous research and compassionate and reflective perspective she unveils their captivating and untold stories and the profound effects of war on soldiers and their families.
