Inverbervie Library Bookbug Session

Come along and join our session of songs, rhymes and a story for you and your little ones (aged 0-5).

Sessions are for pre-school children with a parent or carer.

Inverbervie Library Craft and Natter

Participants can bring their own projects to work on. The groups is a lovely way to learn new crafts, get advice on a tricky project and have a natter and a laugh. There will also be sessions where there will be a workshop and participants will learn a new skill under tuition.

Portlethen Library Bookbug Session with Makaton

Come along and join our session of songs, rhymes and a story for you and your little ones (aged 0-5).

Sessions are for pre-school children with a parent or carer.

This session will be led by a member of our team who has recently attended Bookbug with Makaton training. The session will include elements of Makaton signing, for example the Hello/Goodbye song and 1 rhyme. As staff develop their skills they will be adding more signed songs and rhymes.

PLEASE NOTE that one booking is only required per household (i.e., 1 Adult and children) attending this event.

We will accept walk-ins; however, we are limiting numbers that can attend due to space in which the session or event takes place.

It's Bookbug Week! Come and celebrate by joining in our session of songs, rhymes and a story.

This week's story will show us that we don't need to speak the same language to make friends. We'll have a go at saying hello in some other languages and there will be Bookbug Week colouring sheets to complete in the library or at home.

Session details: Peterhead Library are delighted to offer some drop-in sessions during the Grampian Wellbeing Festival. We will have live music performances in the main library area, courtesy of the Aberdeenshire Instrumental Music Service. During the music there will be mindfulness themed activities on offer. Alternatively you can simply enjoy the music with 'a cuppie' of tea and a 'funcy piece!'
