Inverbervie Library Afterschool Makers

Come along to the library to do Lego and/or craft activities. This session is open to children preschool and above. The Lego will be out and there will be a table with craft activities. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Grampian Wellbeing Festival - Child Sessions - Fraserburgh Library Bookbug Session with Childsmile

Live Life Aberdeenshire Libraries are once again taking part in the Grampian Wellbeing Festival. Our health and wellbeing events provide an opportunity for all ages to engage with other people, develop friendships and try new activities.
Session details: Come along to our toothy-themed songs, rhymes and story attended by a member of the Childsmile team. They will be available at the end of the session to give advice and guidance on toothbrushing, dentist visits and handing out toothbrushing packs.

Sessions are for pre-school children with a parent or carer.

PLEASE NOTE that one booking is only required per household (i.e., 1 Adult and children) attending this event.

We will accept walk-ins; however, we are limiting numbers that can attend due to space in which the session or event takes place.

To avoid disappointment, we would recommend booking a space for this activity where possible.

Inverurie Library Bookbug Session - Bookbug Says Hello!

It's Bookbug Week! Come and celebrate by joining in our session of songs, rhymes and a story.

This week's story will show us that we don't need to speak the same language to make friends. We'll have a go at saying hello in some other languages and there will be Bookbug Week colouring sheets to complete in the library or at home.

Sessions are for pre-school children with a parent or carer.

PLEASE NOTE that only one booking is required per household (i.e. 1 Adult and children).

We can accept a limited number of walk-ins; However, to avoid disappointment, we recommend booking a space where possible.

Please cancel your space if you can no longer attend.

Portlethen Library Conversational Spanish with Leandro - Improvers

Learn the basics of Spanish or refresh your knowledge with this fun class led by our Customer Assistant Leandro who is a native speaker.

This is the improvers session! You are welcome to join and book if you have some Spanish knowledge or if you have done any lesson with us any time in the pass.

Banff Community Hub - Banff Library

Banff Community Hub will be held in Banff Library every Monday.

The drop in sessions will be held from 12pm-3pm. No booking is required.

It will provide advice on a range of topics including financial help, employment assistance, citizens advice and interview skills.

Organisations that are involved include The Vinery, Aberdeenshire Council, Skills Development Scotland and Enable Scotland.

Are you or someone you know looking for support to make small changes towards a healthier lifestyle? Our Spring Health Watch drop in sessions are open to everyone, so come and see us!

We want to help take the pressure off the NHS by providing free blood pressure checks in our sports venues and libraries across Aberdeenshire. Our Health and Wellbeing Instructors are advisors and can provide some basic lifestyle advice and signpost you for further support. They will also be encouraging everyone to participate in home blood pressure monitoring to put you back in the driver's seat and save lives.
