Eerie mystery thriller starring Michael Palin. Pensioner Tom Parfitt (Palin) desperately wants to move from his Yorkshire home into residential care and as a result engineers an accident so he can be taken away to be looked after. Little does he know that his actions will set off a series of mysterious events when on his moving day he becomes the sole witness to a violent death. As the mystery deepens and becomes increasingly challenging for police detective Rob Fairholme (Mark Addy), a ghostly haunting makes matters worse for the residents of the coastal town of Scarborough.
