The concluding two episodes of the television mini-series based on the novels by Rosamunde Pilcher. Winter sees the return to Endellion, the Cornish country estate of the Combe family. The return of Stephen (Michael York) and Julia (Senta Berger)'s daughter Charlotte (Natalia Worner) stirs up longstanding resentment, exposing long-held secrets and sowing seeds of doubt in existing relationships. When patriarch Alex (Frank Finlay) dies, the family is forced to make difficult decisions and reassess what is important to them - or risk losing everything they hold dear.
