Bittersweet British drama starring Robert Carlyle. Eleven-year-old Jamie (Arron Fuller) becomes increasingly curious about his father Charlie (Carlyle) after a sequence of clues points to some kind of complex secret plot. Behaving unpredictably and often explosively, always on the phone to the same mysterious contact, hiding out in a delapidated new flat and making promises of a large lump sum that will fund their future emigration to America... is Charlie working as an undercover agent? As time goes on, however, Jamie slowly begins to understand that his father is occupying a very different reality from the one he had imagined.
