US Western starring David Gyasi, Ron Perlman and Frank Grillo. Based on a true story, the film follows former slave Bass Reeves (Gyasi) as he becomes the first African-American Deputy Marshal in 1875. Riding alongside Charlie Storm (Perlman), Reeves set out to prove his worth as a lawman and heads deep into the Cherokee Nation in pursuit of wanted outlaw Bob Dozier (Grillo), facing prejudice at every turn.
